January-February 2026
Happy New Year everyone!
We are grateful that Kathrine Karajidou, from my brother in laws church in Greece (Bro. Eric Fair) is doing much better. Thank you for praying for her.
Since Dec. 27, 2025 we have had visitors almost constantly. Kensey, our oldest daughter that’s studying at PCC with two other girl friends were with us until 01/15/26. A brother from Moldova was with us for a few days after the girls left. Then the following week, on 01/20, Pastor and Mrs. Sean Brumbaugh from Hagerstown, MD was with us until 01/27. We are grateful they had the opportunity to be with us and witness first hand the ministry here. We had a great time with them and the church in Karnobat loved meeting them both and hearing Pastor Brumbaugh preach. I was able to take them to Phillipi, Greece to see the ruins and the old jail where the Apostle Paul and Bro. Silas were at, Acts 16.
Next week we are expecting our son Joshua and his wife Emma on 02/13. They only have one week to be with us but we’ll take it. The brethren here will be pleasantly surprised to see them again.
You may or may not know but Missy and I just celebrated (01/06) 25 yrs of marriage. I want to take a minute here to brag on my wife. One dark, cold Sunday evening on 01/18, I got a call to help an old lady that’s a christian and that we’ve been close with from the beginning. She lives in our village. After talking to Missy briefly and discussing the situation this dear old lady was in she volunteered to drive her to her grand daughters place 2 hrs away. That was close to 5 hrs driving on a day when she was relaxing from all her many tasks has a wife, mother and missionary. I was again impressed but not surprised by her servants heart. By the way, I didn’t drive the lady myself because I was away with the brother from Moldova that I mentioned earlier. Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her, Prov. 31:10, 28.
Smoking cigarettes, even among some Christians is a hard habit to overcome here. A lot of them started smoking before their teenage years. One of our brothers has recently decided to stop it and today (2/6) is 11 days for him. This same brother has been showing some real growth in the scriptures. Missy and I meet with 5 other couples once a week and he always has something prepared. Please pray for Kiril Acenov to never smoke again and for the others that are still struggling with this habit to follow his lead.
Everything else is much the same brethren. We are having good crowds on Thursdays and the church house has been nearly full on Sundays. Thank you all for faithfully praying and supporting our family to keep us in this country for the preaching of the Gospel and edifying of the saints. God bless you all!
Bro. Danny Kessler, my dear wife and our precious children
